Yes indeed, I'm walking...
Ever since I got the digital camera for Christmas I’ve been waiting for spring to arrive so I could take it along with me on my daily walks. Now, I don’t know if it’s just the way I look at the world or is it just the way the world really looks; maybe you can help me figure out the truth.
Submitted for your approval...
1. Who says you never see wildlife in the city?
2. At least I'm not Mayor McCheese.
3. I should have have followed my sister's advice and gone on welfare.
Just in time for the Final Four!
1. Fans starting at $9.00? What, just in case your buddies are all rooting for Florida?
2. And they're available in your favorite school colors!
3. The $20.00 fans come with their own beer.

A church with no walls, roof or a steeple?
1. I'm thinking maybe, wiccan?
2. "So, Bob how long have you and the missus been Druids?"
3."I don't know about you, Margaret but I think Pastor Smith has gotten just a bit carried away with this whole "back-to-basics" thing."

Its more the way the awning makes me wonder how they do it.
1. I don't even want to think about the embalming process.
2. Handcuffed, gag-balled and headed home to glory.
3. "Don't worry about a thing, when we hear the safe word we'll let you out."
Now, am I just looking at things with the wrong perspective or are things really what they appear to be?
Inquiring minds want to know...

trying to catch my breathe!! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! I love the S and M funeral home....
And this is exactly why I would want you on my little deserted isladn - entertainment value and great perspective on the world around us!
Haven't you said before that you don't like memes? If you want to do this one, I will gladly add you to my list of castaways. I'd love to see who you'd want on a deserted island with you. I'm sure your selections and the reasons for them would be quite unique, lol!
You have just shown us objective reality and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
"Now, am I just looking at things with the wrong perspective or are things really what they appear to be?"
Perhaps it's a bit of both... although rare is the thing that appears fully as it is. Or, something actually profound along those lines.

Cool stuff Dirk S&M funeral home this is like headlines on leno. Funny stuff man, see you when I see you peace.
It's all in the eye of the beholder.....whatever you see is what you see.....The funeral thing is kinda of wierd...you would think someone would have thought of that before putting it on an awning....but then again maybe they did....and hey you won't forget it now will you?
Happy Monday my friend...
I wouldn't say wrong.......
Just fresh!
Oh the S&M comments are hilarious!
I don't know, I kinda like your view of the world.
Funny stuff!!!
I would keep an eye on that bunny. Remember the show "The Jeffersons"? There was an episode where a guy in bunny costume killed somebody and Weezy saw him do it.
And then there's the giant bunny that attacked Jimmy Carter.
They're dangerous I tell you.
S&M Funeral home is hilarious.
OMG THAT LAST ONE IS FREAKIN' HYSTERICAL! OMG! TOO FUNNY!
I think the Bunny is giving you the finger...but it might just be me...
hehe
ha! thanks for the giggle, dirkstar. and i do laugh occasionally. check out my weeble posting.
peace!
lisa
LMAO @ the S&M funeral home!!!
OMG
I am still crying.
That is so funny.
With a camera the world comes alive and with hilarity.
Love this post...you've supplied a much needed before bed laugh. We share some of the same taste in music I see...Zappa and Enigma (with some Annie thrown in for good measure)...nice.
good one boss..
In Buaffalo there are funeral homes with the following names:
AMIGONE
ROLLING
BURY
Just thought I'd share. Keep up the good work, Mr. Shutter-Bug!
Wait----you took these shots? You have to send them over to Jay Leno! These are great---especially the S&M one! haha!!!
finding alice
*Snort* S&M! That's just wrong. Someone should have warned them.
Thanks for dropping by! And thank also for this hilarious post! I love the way you view things :)
Thumper wants to know how he can meet exhibit A...
Uh... you mean I could buy some fans?!?
Oh no! Someone stole their jumbo-tron screen!
Okay, everybody else has covered the S & M awning, but did you ever hear the one about the guy who died and his wife had him embalmed at the very biggest and fanciest funeral parlor in town. She even went out and bought a very expensive suit for him to be buried in.
There were two viewings being prepared when she arrived at the funeral parlor, and to her horror, she found that the suit she had bought was on the other stiff! Outraged, she went to the undertaker and demanded that he do something!! The calling hours were in half an hour!
Funeral parlor staff ushered her to a waiting room, and thirty minutes later she was called in to see her husband, who now was wearing the correct suit.
"Oh thank you so much," she said to the undertaker, "I am so happy that you were able to change the suits."
"Change the suits?" he replied, "Why I just switched the heads."
Truly disturbing--the large pagan rodent, the NCAA "Rent a Fan" team prostitutes, the abuse of corpse, and the cross that looks like it was designed for a real crucifixion--if you DO in fact see a Roman centurion and a Druid, I would really start to get worried, because all of the other elements for something truly malicious are present.
I've made a very informative documentary of Crabcake. It's posted on my blog.
ROFLMBO!!!!!! Agreeing with Barb about the S&M Funeral Home bit.... And also loved the "back to basics church" comment!
Dude Dirk, there is NOBODY else like you in this world, and that's just the way we like it. You're a hoot!
Very funny, esp the funeral home.
I am, by the way, INFP. We should probably stay very very far apart.
Unless you don't want to. I'd understand.
Wonderful images -- esp. the funeral home one!
So what's up with you? Glad you seem to have 'sprung' back into the blogosphere.
It is possible that you have a rather skewed view of reality. I like that in a man.
OMG, I didn't get the whole funeral thing at first, and then when I DID- whoa.
I don't even like to think about it (and yet, much to my chagrin, it made me laugh!)
Those are the best laughs- the shameful juinior high-type laughs.
Hmmm DS I worry about you sometimes.
Did you get any strange looks as you stopped to take the Walgreens pic ?
Funny stuff!
You did it again....got me spitting out water this time. You, my dear, are a clever one...saving the S&M one for last.
Scuse me now while I wipe my screen, thanks for the great post AGAIN. Oh! And thanks for popping by, take care poppa!
In the town where I went to college there was a drive-thru funeral home. I thought it couldn't get any better. You have opened my eyes to new possibilities. Thank you.
Very funny, and.....odd. I'm just glad I don't live in your neighborhood.
I'm looking forward to lots more "photo day"s like this! I've seen that giant bunny outside an Esther Price store near me and I don't know, it just makes me want to stop my car and beat it up.
My, you are becoming quite a photographer, are you?
Love the captions! Especially the S&M bit.
